Analysis: Brissett was injured after getting hit in the head during a Week 10 loss to Pittsburgh. Brissett was first checked on the sideline and then was allowed to return to the game.
|Nov. 12, 2017 1:51 PM PT2:51 PM MT3:51 PM CT4:51 PM ET21:51 GMT5:51 2:51 PM MST4:51 PM EST3:51 PM CT1:51 UAE (+1)16:51 ETNaN: - Jacoby Brissett was 14 of 24 for 222 yards and threw two touchdown passes Sunday in the Indianapolis Colts' 20-17 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He threw one interception, didn't fumble and was sacked three times. Brissett added seven rushing yards on four carries.
Analysis: Brissett is turning into a solid QB. He has multiple touchdown passes in each of his last three games after totaling just three in his first six starts.
|Nov. 12, 2017 3:27 PM PT4:27 PM MT5:27 PM CT6:27 PM ET23:27 GMT7:27 4:27 PM MST6:27 PM EST5:27 PM CT3:27 UAE (+1)18:27 ETNaN: - After being cleared through the NFL's concussion protocol late in the third quarter of a 20-17 loss to Pittsburgh, Brissett didn't take postgame questions because he was still being evaluated for a head injury by team doctors.
Analysis: Team officials said Brissett was initially evaluated for a concussion on the sideline twice - once with team doctors and once by the unaffiliated neurological consultant. He passed both times. Then, after the game, he developed concussion-like symptoms again and returned to the protocol. The Colts have a bye in Week 11.
|Nov. 5, 2017 1:26 PM PT2:26 PM MT3:26 PM CT4:26 PM ET21:26 GMT5:26 2:26 PM MST4:26 PM EST3:26 PM CT1:26 UAE (+1)16:26 ETNaN: - Jacoby Brissett was 20 of 30 for 308 yards and threw two touchdown passes Sunday in the Indianapolis Colts' 20-14 win over the Houston Texans. He did not throw an interception, fumbled once and was sacked three times. Brissett added 12 rushing yards on two carries.
Analysis: This is about as good as you can expect Brissett to play at this point. It helps having the great T.Y. Hilton as an explosive security blanket.
|Oct. 29, 2017 1:35 PM PT2:35 PM MT3:35 PM CT4:35 PM ET20:35 GMT4:35 1:35 PM MST3:35 PM EST2:35 PM CT0:35 UAE (+1)16:35 ETNaN: - Jacoby Brissett was 25 of 39 for 233 yards and threw two touchdown passes Sunday in the Indianapolis Colts' 24-23 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. He threw one interception, didn't fumble and was sacked four times. Brissett added six rushing yards on one carry.
Analysis: Lineman Carlos Dunlap batted Brissett's pass into the air, grabbed the ball and ran 16 yards to the end zone for a game-turning touchdown Sunday. Not that it matters in the fantasy world, where Brissett shouldn't be on your team.
|Oct. 22, 2017 1:23 PM PT2:23 PM MT3:23 PM CT4:23 PM ET20:23 GMT4:23 1:23 PM MST3:23 PM EST3:23 PM CT0:23 UAE (+1)16:23 ETNaN: - Jacoby Brissett was 22 of 37 for 200 yards and didn't throw a touchdown pass Sunday in the Indianapolis Colts' 27-0 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. He did not throw an interception. Brissett added 31 rushing yards on five carries.
Analysis: Brissett had no chance behind the Colts' porous offensive line, getting sacked 10 times.
|Oct. 16, 2017 8:16 PM PT9:16 PM MT10:16 PM CT11:16 PM ET3:16 GMT11:16 8:16 PM MST10:16 PM EST10:16 PM CT7:16 UAE (+1)23:16 ETNaN: - Jacoby Brissett was 21 of 37 for 212 yards and threw one touchdown pass Monday in the Indianapolis Colts' 36-22 loss to the Tennessee Titans. He did not throw an interception, didn't fumble and was not sacked. Brissett added 15 rushing yards on five carries.
Analysis: Brissett went 12 of 19 for 119 yards with a TD in the first half but was just 9 of 18 for 93 yards after halftime. He has done a decent job thrust into a very difficult spot as the Colts try to survive until Andrew Luck returns. Brissett won't be much of a fantasy option next week against Jacksonville.
|Oct. 8, 2017 6:02 PM PT7:02 PM MT8:02 PM CT9:02 PM ET1:02 GMT9:02 6:02 PM MST8:02 PM EST8:02 PM CT5:02 UAE (+1)21:02 ETNaN: - Jacoby Brissett was 22 of 34 for 314 yards and didn't throw a touchdown pass Sunday in the Indianapolis Colts' 26-23 win over the San Francisco 49ers. He threw one interception, didn't fumble and was sacked four times. Brissett added 14 rushing yards on eight carries and scored one touchdown on the ground.
Analysis: The 314 passing yards are a career high for Brissett, though the 49ers aren't exactly the stingiest of pass defenses. The former Patriot has still been more of an offensive caretaker in Andrew Luck's absence, as he's thrown for only two touchdowns in his four starts. Leave him on the bench in fantasy leagues unless you're in dire need of a quarterback.
|Oct. 1, 2017 8:19 PM PT9:19 PM MT10:19 PM CT11:19 PM ET3:19 GMT11:19 8:19 PM MST10:19 PM EST10:19 PM CT7:19 UAE (+1)23:19 ETNaN: - Jacoby Brissett was 16 of 29 for 157 yards and threw one touchdown pass Sunday in the Indianapolis Colts' 46-18 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He threw one interception, fumbled once and was sacked three times. Brissett added 33 rushing yards on three carries.
Analysis: Brissett continues to show good and bad as he keeps Andrew Luck's seat warm. Brissett threw a pick for the second straight game and lost a fumble that was returned for a score, but he also threw for a TD and ran three times for 33 yards. Brissett shows flashes but clearly is being thrust into a difficult situation and would be better served sitting and watching at this point in his young career.
|Sep. 24, 2017 4:15 PM PT5:15 PM MT6:15 PM CT7:15 PM ET23:15 GMT7:15 4:15 PM MST6:15 PM EST6:15 PM CT3:15 UAE (+1)19:15 ETNaN: - Jacoby Brissett was 17 of 24 for 259 yards and threw one touchdown pass Sunday in the Indianapolis Colts' 31-28 win over the Cleveland Browns. He did not throw an interception, didn't fumble and was sacked three times. Brissett added 14 rushing yards on five carries and scored two touchdowns on the ground.
Analysis: Brissett needed to improve after last week's start and he did just that in Sunday's win over Cleveland. He avoided any big mistakes, didn't throw an interception and was clearly more comfortable with his receivers. Brissett completed 9 of 12 passes for 206 yards and a touchdown during the first 30 minutes. He's clearly a much better option than Scott Tolzien as the Colts eagerly await Andrew Luck's return.
|Sep. 17, 2017 8:22 AM PT9:22 AM MT10:22 AM CT11:22 AM ET15:22 GMT23:22 8:22 AM MST10:22 AM EST10:22 AM CT19:22 UAE11:22 ETNaN: - Brissett will start in place of Scott Tolzien at quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday against Arizona. The move was officially announced a little more than an hour before kickoff.
Analysis: Brissett replaces Tolzien, who had two interceptions returned for touchdowns in last week's 46-9 loss. Indy also failed to convert a third down in the loss. Andrew Luck still has not practiced since having surgery on his throwing shoulder in January. Brissett was acquired in a Sept. 2 trade and has spent two weeks cramming to learn the playbook. He gave Indy (0-1) a spark in three series against the Los Angeles Rams.
|Sep. 17, 2017 2:34 PM PT3:34 PM MT4:34 PM CT5:34 PM ET21:34 GMT5:34 2:34 PM MST4:34 PM EST4:34 PM CT1:34 UAE (+1)17:34 ETNaN: - Jacoby Brissett was 20 of 37 for 216 yards and didn't throw a touchdown pass Sunday in the Indianapolis Colts' 16-13 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. He threw one interception, didn't fumble and was sacked four times. Brissett added 22 rushing yards on six carries.
Analysis: Brissett got the start over Scott Tolzien, and led the Colts to 10 points on their first two possessions but did little else in his third career start.
|Sep. 15, 2017 7:29 AM PT8:29 AM MT9:29 AM CT10:29 AM ET14:29 GMT22:29 7:29 AM MST9:29 AM EST9:29 AM CT18:29 UAE10:29 ETNaN: - The Colts are planning to start Brissett in Week 2 against the Cardinals, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Analysis: This isn't a big surprise after starter Scott Tolzien was dreadful in Week 1 and Brissett came off the bench to lead the Colts to their only touchdown. Brissett's running ability is what makes him a potential fantasy option if he maintains the job. In two starts as a rookie last year with the Patriots, Brissett rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown while throwing for a combined 308 yards and no scores.
|Sep. 13, 2017 2:05 PM PT3:05 PM MT4:05 PM CT5:05 PM ET21:05 GMT5:05 2:05 PM MST4:05 PM EST4:05 PM CT1:05 UAE (+1)17:05 ETNaN: - Colts coach Chuck Pagano isn't saying whether he will start Brissett or Scott Tolzien in Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
Analysis: Pagano admitted Monday he's contemplating a quarterback change after the Rams returned both of Tolzien's interceptions for touchdowns in a 46-9 loss. Brissett replaced Tolzien for the final three series and led the Colts to their only touchdown. Brissett and Tolzien both said Wednesday they have not been told who will start against the Cardinals. Pagano didn't drop any hints, either, implying he's likely to keep the choice under wraps until kickoff.
|Sep. 2, 2017 11:28 AM PT12:28 PM MT1:28 PM CT2:28 PM ET18:28 GMT2:28 11:28 AM MST1:28 PM EST1:28 PM CT22:28 UAE14:28 ETNaN: - The Patriots sent Brissett to the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for wide receiver Phillip Dorsett on Saturday.
Analysis: The move provides insurance for the Colts as three-time Pro Bowl starter Andrew Luck continues to recover from shoulder surgery in January. Brissett started two games for the Patriots last season during Tom Brady's four-game Deflategate suspension following an injury to Jimmy Garoppolo. In New England's preseason finale against the New York Giants on Thursday, Brissett piled up 341 yards on 28 of 39 passing, four touchdowns and one interception.
|Sep. 1, 2017 6:33 AM PT7:33 AM MT8:33 AM CT9:33 AM ET13:33 GMT21:33 6:33 AM MST8:33 AM EST8:33 AM CT17:33 UAE9:33 ETNaN: - Brissett threw for 341 yards and four touchdowns, and ran for another to nearly lead the Super Bowl champions back from a 20-point halftime deficit to a 40-38 win over the Giants on Thursday.
Analysis: As strong as Brissett's performance was, it still might have been his final game for New England. Brissett started a pair of games last season during Tom Brady's four-game "Deflategate" suspension after backup Jimmy Garoppolo was injured. But it is unclear if the Patriots will keep a third quarterback with Brady available to start this season. So Thursday could have served as Brissett's audition for his next NFL team.
