Analysis: Witten had a bit of a bounce-back effort after totaling two catches in his previous two games.

Analysis: After catching 17 passes in the season's first two weeks, Witten has just two receptions on six targets in the last two.

Analysis: Those who started Witten with the hope he'd find the end zone for a third straight week were utterly disappointed. The 35-year-old is still one of the more reliable fantasy tight ends around, but Monday's line is a reminder that he's no longer a sure thing.
|Sep. 17, 2017 7:58 PM PT8:58 PM MT9:58 PM CT10:58 PM ET2:58 GMT10:58 7:58 PM MST9:58 PM EST9:58 PM CT6:58 UAE (+1)22:58 ETNaN: - Jason Witten had 10 receptions for 97 yards and one touchdown Sunday in the Dallas Cowboys' 42-17 loss to the Denver Broncos.
Analysis: While Witten's high-usage outing was largely a product of the Cowboys playing from behind for much of the day, he still recorded a TD catch for a second straight week. That's a very positive sign after the 35-year-old found the end zone just three times in each of the previous two seasons.

Analysis: Witten passed Michael Irvin as the Cowboys' all-time leader in receiving yards (11,947) and made his owners happy as well by hauling in a red-zone touchdown late in the first half. The lone knock on the likely future Hall of Famer's recent fantasy profile is that he's caught just three touchdown passes in each of the past two seasons.

Witten, who turns 35 in May, is one of two tight ends in NFL history with at least 1,000 catches and 10,000 yards receiving. The other is Tony Gonzalez, who retired in 2013 after 17 seasons.
Analysis: The deal Witten signed Tuesday runs through 2021 and leaves the final year of the two-time All Pro's current contract intact. The extension has a maximum value of $29 million with no new guaranteed money and gives the Cowboys the flexibility to restructure and create about $4 million in salary cap space.
